How to deploy Windows Messenger 5.0 in a corporate scenario.

Hi,

In my company we want to deploy Windows Messenger 5.0. I've downloaded
the software and took a look in the self extracting cab file. A
pleasant surprise was that inside the cab was a messenger.msi file. We
have a Active Directory in place so in theory it might be possible to
deploy it through a gpo.
Is this feasible/supported? The setup.exe in the cab file which
normally fires the msi file could do this with some
parameters/switches. Is this the case? If yes what are these
parameters/switches? Has anybody attempted this? What were your
findings?

It is possible to do this, I did it myself a few days ago with 2003
Server/XP Pro clients by just creating a new package entry and assigning WM5
to be installed at next login for certain groups (no switches defined).
Everything seemed to go smoothly.
