You mean on a CD/DVD? Copy it back to the hard disk and remove the "Read
Only" file attribute. After this you can open it from within Outlook by
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
Thanks Roady.. what I am trying to d is remove the large amount of data that
is still in the archive on my laptop to free up some space, so I now want to
remove it and I can not.

Could you be a bit more specific in what you are trying to do with what
version of Outlook? Like steps to reproduce, results you get and results you
were expecting? Currently I cannot make much sense form your post. In
general deleting things from an archive is the same from your mailbox store;
you press Delete and empty your Deleted Items folder.
