I'm using Outlook 2003 and I received an email from a coworker that will not
open. The email sits in my inbox and the hour glass appears and does not go
away. As soon as I open Outlook it tries to show this mail in the auto
preview. I am forced to ctrl-alt delete and end the process. Does anyone
have a solution?

Start outlook with the /nopreview switch then delete it using shift-delete.
if you want to try to read it, switch to plain text - use the registry key
here: http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/plain_text.htm instead of the
nopreview switch.

to turn preview back on, you may need to delete the outcmd.dat file, so if
you have custom toolbars, you'll want to make a copy of the file before
using nopreview.
