how to deduce size in excel file

i have office 2003. in one folder around 21 files, all are data entry each
files are linked one another. i am opening all the files at the time.some
files are opening some not due to more in size. so that how could help me in
this matter and give me some suggestion to deduce size in file

To "reduce" file size.............

First make sure your usedrange on each sheet is what you think it should be.
