I know you can have screen saver shortcut with the MS Office shortcut bar.
But without MS Office installed, can you create screen saver shortcut on the
desktop? If so, how to do it? Can some folks give a hand? Thanks

You can create a Display shortcut. Start > Control Panel > Display.

Screensavers are normally in your System32 folder, you can either navigate
to that folder and right click the ss u wanna use then click create shortcut
and move it to your desktop or u can right click your desktop and click on
create shortcut and just fill in the target box with the path to the ss.

Here's the target line for a screensaver shortcut I use:
C:\WINDOWS\ambientflocksaver.scr

I created it on the desktop via right-click, New ... shortcut.
Then dragged it down to the quick launch area.

However, a lockable screensaver is a different situation, if that's
what you want.
