how to create predefined series of texts like weekdays,months and

Hi,

Use excel date and time formulas for this. For eg today's date in cell A2 of
sheet 1
=TODAY() will return the current date accordingly you can use other functions.

You want like
sunday monday tuesday etc....then
goto
Tools menu ->options.then on custom series tab type your list in right list boc and click add.

if you have a list in worksheet then under list box you will find import list from cells .give the reference and click add
 
Weekdays, months should be default in Tools>Options>Custom Lists

But if not, create a new list by clicking on New and entering your
comma-delimited list then hit Add button.
