I want to use mail rules to sort my outgoing mail so as to keep copies of sent emails to special friends in a special folder. Is this possible?

Not automatically. Message rules normally affect incoming messages only.
You can use the "Apply Now" feature to have it filter any folder, but that
has to be done manually.

Thank you Gary. I suspected that since there was no mention of outgoing rules in the Help file.

Is there an upgrade. This program is useless as it is. There is no
forwarding, no copying, no follow-up, a very limited program to say the least.

There should be an upgrade if they are planning on replacing Outlook.

Windows Mail was never meant as a replacement for Outlook.
It is a replacement for Outlook Express (OE). Windows Mail is pretty
much equivalent to OE in features. If you want Outlook features,
get Outlook.
