How to create original comments with keyboard shortcuts

Is it possible to create a set of original and frequently used comments which
I can insert in a Word document using keyboard shortcuts? For example, can I
use a keyboard shortcut to insert the comment, "comma splice" in a document I
am editing?

There are at least three ways. The easiest way would be to use AutoCorrect,
and to create shorthands that convert into the desired text, e.g., csp might
automatically expand into comma splice. How you get to AutoCorrect depends
on the version of Word... In Word 2003, Tools - AutoCorrect Options -
AutoCorrect tab.

Another way is to create AutoText entries. These do not automatically
expand--in Word 2007, you need to press F3 to expand them. In prior versions
of Word, you type part of the entry name, and Word shows you the
autocomplete "suggestion" once what you've typed is sufficiently
unambiguous, and you the tap the space bar to expand it.

A third way is to record a macro, which you assign to a keyboard shortcut en
route, and have the macro recorder record you typing the phrase.
