how to creat text box to enter data in the form

I try to create a form where i would enter the id and it will look up the
table and find recod/records with that id.
 
In the database window, select the table so that it is highlighted.
Click on the symbol for AutoForm on the toolbar, (me copy of Access 2003 is
down RHS of toolbar)
The form will open with textboxes on it.
