Need to copy manuscript doc from Word on to CD or scan disc. Have
MicroXP...used to floppies.....Would appreciate HELP..thanks.

Sorry, it really isn't Word issue but more importantly it isn't one anybody
here can specifically help you with. You burn Word docs to a CD just like
any other type of file, but the method will vary somewhat depending on the
hardware & software you have for the purpose. You'll need to review the
instructions that came with your system... Also, I have no idea what a "scan
disc" is. There is a brand of USB flash memory sticks [SanDisk], so if
that's what you mean just use Windows Explorer to copy the file to the stick
as though it were any other drive.

Remember to do the burn/copy from your harddisk, not directly from Word.
Word does not like to copy/save its files to
CD/MemStick/SanDisks/MoveableMedia/etc.
The resulting files have a tendency to corrupt.
As Bob Jones has mentioned, use your usual burning software, or Windows
Explorer to Save to MoveableMedia.
Hope this helps.

Use floppy with MicroXP => copy fdc.sys (find it on regular xp cd) file to the windows\system32\drivers directory and after reboot your floppy should work again.
