How to copy & preserve timestamp?

I am migrating from a Win2K machine to a new WinXP machine. Both are
attached to a network. I need to copy a number of folders over intact
and I would like to preserve the time stamps. For some reason, the
timestamps are preserved on the files, but not on the folders.

How can I copy the files and folders with the old timestamps?

I have the same problem. I notice that noone on this group seems to have an
answer, so could anyone be kind enough to suggest another forum where help might
be found?

Transferring an image should accomplish that, right? Seems simple to me.
Also, I think XXCopy.exe could accomplish it and still manage a "copy" like
function. I know it can Close, so ... same difference.

Mountain/molehill here, I think.
