You can convert from FAT32/FAT to NTFS using convert.exe and not lose any of
your data, but once you have done this, there is not such an easy way back
=):

To find out more information about Convert.exe
After completing Setup, click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press
ENTER.
In the command window, type help convert and then press ENTER. Information
about converting FAT volumes to NTFS is made available as shown below.

Converting FAT volumes to NTFS

To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
Open Command Prompt. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to
Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
In the command prompt window, type: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs
format. You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.

Hope that helps!

Calculor

the XP cd has the ability to
remove the current partition
create a new partition
format the new partition as NTFS
then install XP

Yes, there is a way but you will lose your data. You need
to use a utility called fdisk and then reformat or
reinstall xp. Someone please correcy me if I'm wrong here
on this one.

If you have XP, you may need to get a win98 bootdisk to
run fdisk and you can get that from www.bootdisk.com
