How to Connect this Groups in Newsreader?

Previously I used to connect the below google groups in my newsreader
account as per the procedure mentioned in Cpearson website.

microsoft.public.excel.misc
microsoft.public.excel.programming
microsoft.public.worksheet.functions

http://www.cpearson.com/Excel/HintsAndTipsForNewsgroupUsers.aspx

But nowadays I can't able to connect it in newsreader and I couldn't
able to locate the above newsgroups. Anyone have suggestion on how to
connect the above google groups in newsreader?

Firstly, they are not "google groups".  They are Usenet newsgroups, for
which Google (among others) happen to provide an archive search and web
access facility.  Microsoft are in the process of removing their newsgroups
from their server msnews.microsoft.com.  The groups are still provided on
other news servers, but the usage has reduced since Microsoft withdrew them
from their servers and removed the link from their web-based discussion
groups.

If you wish to continue to access these groups through a newsreader, you'll
have to use a different news server.  Your ISP might provide a news server,
or there are various free servers such as news.eternal-september.org, or for
a modest subscription such as news.individual.net.

Thanks for both of your reply and I am trying to get connected with
this Usenet group by way of news.eternal-september.org but I could not
able to do it. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have registered
in the above link and I got a mail from that site with the following
details.

Eternal-September.org can be accessed via the following server names
and ports:

Server name: news.eternal-september.org
----------------------------------
Port : 119
Port : 563 (encrypted)

----------------------------------
Server name: reader80.eternal-september.org
----------------------------------
Port : 80

----------------------------------
Server name: reader443.eternal-september.org
----------------------------------
Port : 443 (encrypted)
The number of concurrent connections to the server is limited to 4.

And I received my Username and Password also. But I don’t know how to
get connected using the above details. I am using Widows Live Mail
for Accessing the Newsgroups, If required I can use the Outlook
Express for accessing this groups. Any web based article is there by
explaining the connecting method.
