I am new to access. I am doing some data comapre of different files A before
and after situation.

I have 2 files with the same headings. In a perfect world both tables would
be identical. I know how to import the tables and create a query to show
each column side by side. Unfortunately there are 3600 lines of data across
several columns. Too much for a visual comapre. Currently I am copy the
compare query I created into Excel and then creating a new table to only me
show me data that differs.

I would think there is a way to do this all in Access. Any suggestions
would be helpful

The query wizard has a Find Differences Query. Give that a try.

It may depend on the fields that you are selecting for the comparison. Try
running the wizard and using only a single field that you know has
differences.

Lynn Sorry it still does not seem to work. Is there a way to create it
manually without the Wizard--
Thanks
