How to change the registry entries of a component?

I want to change the registry entries (specifically the FriendlyName) of an
ELO serial touchscreen interface component, since by default it is configured
to COM1, and I want it it to COM4. In the Component Designer, I tried to
unrelease the component so I can edit the registry entries, but the unrelease
option is disabled. In the Target Designer, I simply dont find the way to
edit these registry entries.

I hope someone can help me how to edit these registry entries of this ELO
serial touchscreen interface.

Thanks.

if you know exactly where and what to add this registry, in target
designer, on the top of your design project name, click extra registry
data, select "add", you can add there.

Juan,

If you are referring to 3rd party Elo component you should be able to unrelease it in CD. If not, if it is a MS component, you can't
do that easily.

As suggested, you can always overwrite the entries by some other component that will be built later (check out the build phases)
then the Elo one.
