How to change IE to classic view and restore URL address bar at to

IE 6.0 comes up in two different views - an XP-type view and the old classic
view - since an automatic Windows update Aug. 19. In the XP- type view,
there is no address bar to type URL into and no Tools button to allow me to
empty the IE cache after banking online.
Thx.

Have you tried F11?

Hi Frank
Strangely, IE reverted to classic view just after I wrote that e-mail -
maybe Windows read my e-mail and understood that I wanted to change IE to
classic view. Maybe it's a virus? Weird behaviour.
