How to change comment in conatct name "name<comment>"

On a from or to field, a comment appears with the name of the contact
(name<comment>). This comment is often bad.
Can you tell me how to modify this comment, i can not found it on the active
directory.

For Internet addresses, the data between the inequality signs is not a
comment. It should be the real mail address.
