How to change character to lower case except the first letter?

I'm creating a mail merge, all my contents are in upper case and i would like
to change the character to lower case except for the first letter of each
word.

I'd cheat and use another column.

=proper(a1)

to get the first letter of each word uppercase.

Then use that field in the mailmerge.

I'd use a macro and do it in place, even if you needed the old data
in upper case, in which case you could work from a copy of the page.

Assume you mean propercase, You could mean sentences,
either way you will find information on the above page.
