How to Category View in Control Panel

Deon

Hi there,

I'm trying to help my dad with the view of his Control Panel. He has
just bought Windows XP Prof and has the Classical View at the moment and
not Category View. I have tried to change it by going to the folders
option, and under Tasks in the General Tab, Show Common tasks in folders
is checked. I have tried other setting without any success.

I trust you can help me out.

Regards,

Deon

Deon, if you have the Folder view when you open the Control Panel, then
click on the View button in the tool bar at the top of the window, then
click on Category View in the top left panel.

If Common Tasks is enabled and Common Tasks isn't showing...
Click the Folders button on the Toolbar.

If Common Tasks is enabled...
Click the V chevron next to: Control Panel
Then click on: Switch to Category View

The V chevron can hide the Switch to Category View.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
