How to Bypass Windows Encryption

We had a user who left the company, but he had used Windows encryption to
encrypt some of the data on his pc. (Win XP Pro, SP2)

His AD acct was deleted.... Once recreated, however, and we try it to login
to his pc to decrypt the data, it creates a new profile, appending the domain
name onto the end of the profile name (so - username.domain), and that
profile doesn't have access to decrypt, since Windows isn't recognizing it as
being the original profile.

So - what can we do? Thanks.

If things were done right on your AD there should be a Data Recovery
Agent, the agent can recover the files even if the user's profile is
deleted.

If you implemented the EFS and created a data recovery agent - use that.
If not - data gone.
