How to Burn CD & Retain File Date

When I burn a data CD in XP, all of the "date modified"
dates become the date and time that I burn the CD. Does
anyone know how to burn a CD and retain my original file
dates and times? Thanks!

Use one of the third party packages. The inbuilt burning starts with
Explorer making a copy of the file, to be burned later, and that copy
gets a date of 'now'
