How to burn an .iso file?

I've used and recommend Alex Feinman's ISO Recorder Power Toy at
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

It's very easy to use and works very well.

Cdburn.exe: ISO CD-ROM Burner Tool

This tool comes as part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools. I used it to burn the Offline Password Editor bootdisk. I had to use the -imagehaspostgap option in order to burn the CD successfully.

Command-line example:

cdburn.exe d: C:\temp\cd041205.iso -speed max -imagehaspostgap

Requesting burn at maximum speed
Not adding 150 sector postgap (must be part of image)
Number of blocks in ISO image is 61c
Finished Writing
Synchronizing Cache: burn successful!

ISO files are also handled by Winrar. You can extract the files and burn
them with your regular Burner program..

Microsoft supply these programs so people can make CDs from downloaded images. To use the iso directly as a CD MS makes VirtualCD available (in case you don't have a CDrom drive)

MS is tending to supply their programs as images.

ISO files are also handled by Winrar. You can extract the files and
burn them with your regular Burner program..
