I have set up my children as a guest account on my XP HP.
But I cannot find a way in IE6 to block their access to
my favorites list. Their Explorer is customized, but it
still has my favorites and I do not wish them to be able
to access certain sites which are not suitable for their
age-level.

Open up your main hard drive (or whichever one you store
your files on, it's usually C:\) and open uo
the "Documents and Settings" folder. Right-click on the
folder for your username and click the "Sharing" tab.
Check the box that says "Make this Folder Private" It
will change permissions, and soon all of your profile
stuff (favorites included) will be restricted to your
username only.

The above is assuming that you have a password-protected
account. If not, open up Control Panel, select "Users",
then click on your username. Follow the on-screen
insructions for creating a password. If this is the
first time your account is getting a password, you will
be prompted to make your files private.
