How to block a list of websites?

How to block a list of websites? For example, I have mistyped
www.craigslist.org as www.craigslist.com. The former is useful bulletin
board, and the latter is a porn site. I want a place where I can type in a
list of sites which, if typed in IE address bar or also in Windows Explorer
address bar, will pop up an error saying the site is blocked. I tried some
of the free parental control software, and they didn't function well (for
example they blocked finance.yahoo.com). Thanks.

Hi there. Try this: Go to Internet Options, under the Security Tab there is
a tab for restricted sites. Go to that tab and there is a button called
"sites..." that will lead you to a window where you can add restricted sites.
Hope that helps you.

You can go to
Tools > Internet Options > Content > Content Advisor > click Enable

Also, if you want to get rid of what you previously typed in, you could go
to
Tools > Internet Options > Content > Personal Information: Auto Complete >
Clear Forms.

Hope it helps

This just lets me set a different set of security settings for the
restricted sites. I can still navigate to the sites. I want to permanently
remove access to the sites.

I tried this one, but it's annoying to have to enter your password to allow
access to every site you go to. Makes surfing the web a pain.
