How to add sequential numbers to labels

Guest

I am using MS Word to create dance tickets with business cards. I can't
remember how I have done it in the past, but I want to add a sequential
ticket number to the top and bottom of each business card (for door prize
draws). I am using Work XP and Avery 8371 size cards.

Thanks for the help

See http://www.gmayor.com/Numbered_labels.htm. If you haven't already bought
the Avery cards, may I make a suggestion? Business cards are no longer
really satisfactory for this type of application since the die-cut ones
separate too easily. But Office Depot has prenumbered raffle tickets (eight
to a page) that will do just what you want. Each package of tickets is
sequentially numbered, and the numbers are different on every package. I
can't find these at the Office Depot site, but they're comparable to the
SureThing ones at http://www.labelgear.com/LG/Product.asp?ProdCode=22103

There's an even wider assortment at
http://www.ticketprinting.com/ProductsTicketStock.aspx?gclid=CJyZ2LyNzIQCFS5lLAod1wuq8A,
but these are not (by default) two-part tickets like the ones at Office
Depot, nor are they numbered.
