Hi,

An application running on each of our windows 2000 pro workstations needs
local power users right. We have 200 clients. Anybody knows that how to add
everyone to local power user group centrally without going to each desk
phisically.

Thanks for any thought.

Sarah

I don't think it can be done centrally. Local settings
have to be configured on the local machine. You might
also dig in a bit further. I seem to remember a
procedure that would allow you to "step launch" an
application and figure out which file(s) are causing the
need for power user rights. You then modify THOSE FILES
only and keep the regular users out of the power user
role. Also, with that being said and resolved, you might
want to think about running the client side application
on a terminal server and have your 200 users log in to a
TS box and run the ap. That way, you only have ONE
location to administer/upgrade/etc.

From GPO lvel give right to all user to install the
appication and driver....this will result in even local
user get ability to install driver.

Because domain user are member of local user group
