On my other computers, there is an icon on the tool bar of my Outlook emails
I am writing/sending that allows me to attach any one of any number of
signatures I have created and saved under options, and I just can't seem to
find that icon on this version of Outlook 2003 that came with my new Toshiba
laptop.

You need to add the Signatures button into the Toolbar.

Assuming you are not using Word as your editor ..
Open a new e-mail.
Right-Click over a toolbar and click Customize
Choose the Commands Tab
Select Insert from the Categories List.
Drag and drop Signatures from the Commands List to where you want it on the
toolbar.

Thanks Sanjay. Turns out, I was using Word as my editior. It was on a new
computer and i just assumed that box was to be checked. As soon as I
unchecked it I had nio more problems. Thabnk-y0u for your response.
Question: why can't I use the signature feature with Word as my editor?

If you are using Word as your email editor (aka WordMail), you will not have an Insert | Signature command like the regular Outlook editor. If you want to be able to insert a signature into a WordMail message manually, you can create an AutoText entry for each signature. You can then insert them with the Insert | AutoText command.

Or, create multiple signatures the normal way (Tools | Options | Mail Format) and make one the default. If you want to use a different signature for the current message, right-click the signature that Outlook inserted automatically. From the pop-up menu, select either the name of the signature you want to use or E-mail Signature to create a new one. I personally prefer this technique. This is also the technique you need to use if you want Outlook 2003 to automatically change your signature when you switch accounts on an unsent message.

Hi Sue:

And thanks. It turns out I had checks in my settings and was using Word as
the editor , and when I unchecked them (not to use word) there was my
friendly icon for signatures I had grown accustomed to on my other outlooks.
I may give your auto text approach a try as well.

Thanks again,

Ira
