So, I recently upgraded my computer, and purchased a new hard drive,
mobo, cpu, video card, and so on.

And I installed a new copy of window xp on the new hard drive, and set
it to master.

I then took my old hard drive, and set it to slave.

Now, when I boot up my new machine, and log onto the new hard drive
window, and try to access my old hard drive documents, under
administrator (I kept the original name), it won't let me.

So my question is, is there anyway for me to access my old hard drive
administrator documents?

Or do I have to boot up the old hard drive again? And if so, how? I
don't have the old cpu and mobo anymore, so I dont know if booting up
the old hard drive with the new mobo and cpu and whatnot would work.

Any help is appreciated

What exactly happens when you try to access the documents on the old
hard drive?

If it says "access denied", the solution is to take ownership of the
files, as shown here:

Follow the procedure for taking ownership of a file or folder in the
web page that I listed above.
