How stop PPT slides from blinking when first opened?

A small percent of PPT presentations, when opened, blink or flash. When I
start a slideshow, the blinking/flashing ends. What do I do about this?

Turn down the video acceleration a notch at a time until it stops. Don't
worry, this does not degrade the presentation quality.
