How Should I configure DNS

HI

I have W2K with ADS installed. DNS is not getting
recognized and because of that I cannot do trust
relationship. Once DNS issue is resolved might be then
Trusting 2 Domains will work fine. I beleive Trusting is
not happening becz DNS is not configured properly.

Please guide me from scratch how to configure dns.

Computername :seepz

I assume that your trust is going to be between two separate domains (ie,
different forests). An easy way to do this is to set an lmhosts file to
resolve the 1B entry for the pdc emulator in each respective domain to talk
with the other. On explicit trusts they will not be using kerberos etc,
Domains withing the same forest should already have a transitive trust but
if name resolution is a problem and these are two separate trees within the
same forest, then usually you would add a secondary dns zone on domainA for
domainB, and vice versa.
If this doesn't answer your question/s please provide a bit more information
about your setup.
