How much Power can one USb handle ??

I have a Modem on one port i think, its using 500ma, its says USB root
hub in the settings, Device manager.

But i also have a printer connected their as well a 4ma printer, not
sure if they are using the same power supply if so would it be ok to
leave them like this, just installed them this way, becuase its the
only way i can.

I have an Addon card, which has twoother 100ma + devices on it as
well.

I have another USb connector on the board but can't get it to work
sent a email to ASUS maybe they can help me getting it going.

Thanks for any help.

I believe 500mA is the max by spec, though a powered hub might be able
to handle more.

If you have 500mA + ????mA + 4mA + 100mA + 100mA, that might be too much.
