How much faster is a ATI X800 pro than a 9800 Pro, X800 worth it ?

OCZ Guy

In Aussieland it costs 300 bucks more than a 9800 pro, 700 dollars.

I know ill notice a difference prob a BIg difference upgrading from a
9600 Pro :)

Just think its worth it, i know not alot different to a 9800 Pro, just
faster, more pipelines,ect.

Ive got a Mobile 2500 running at 2.5ghz, atleast the cpu wont be a
bottleneck.

Thanks for any help you may wish to give, you nice people.

Thanks.

Why don't you read several of the umpteen reviews available that do such a
comparison between those cards.

Anandtech and Tomshardware are two for a start.

Thanks for the URL, but it was a question for people to answer, red
the reviews, and if they read the reviews would like to know if they
thought it was worth it ?

HELLO NURSE.

theres a greater jump from 9600 to 9800 than there is from 9800 to x800.
but if i was in your position and also had the cash to do it i would go for
x800pro
or wait till x800xt are out in aus, by the way im from QLD

From what iam read the Xt aint much faster and i canget a x800 pro for
700 bucks or less, XTS will be 1 grand or more :(, not paying that
much for a card even though i can afford it.

Iam in Aussieland as well, Sydney.

So when i go from 9600 pro to X800 i should be happy then :)
