Hi Folks

I use WinWord 2003 and I can not figure out how to show in a document how many pages this has
In earlier WinWord versions you could see on the bottem for example "page 4 of 8" or somethin
like that
I don't know how and where to find the switch to show me this information
But may be, there isn't such function in Word 2003

I would really appreciate any help
Thanks a lot in advance

Wil

Click the "View" menu, select "Header and Footer". Press TAB to put
yourself in the middle of your margin (if you want), click the "Insert
Autotext" icon and select the bottom option.

Wil,

Are you talking about the Status Bar? Tools>Options>View and check status
bar.

It displays the current page number as Page # and Page of Page as #/#

I suspect you are using "normal" view rather than print view.

You need to have background repagination enabled. I've just been searching
my Word 2003 to see where this is (I have it turned on). Can't find it so
I'm looking in Word 97. Found it (in the same place it is in Word 2003)!

Tools => Options => General (tab)

The first option - background repagination - needs to be checked. This only
applies in normal view, I think.
