How many nested levels?

Scottie

anyone wanna help me out and tell me how many nested levels this formula is?
I am having an issue with Excel corrupting my data when opening this in excel
2003...I am thinking this is the culprit.....

=IF(ISNA(AND(takeoff<=G$84,takeoff>=$G$84,$B85<>"")),"",IF(AND(takeoff<=G$84,takeoff>=$G$84),"",IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP($B85&G$84&$F85,ReqOff,3,FALSE)),IF(ISODD(G$82),IF(VLOOKUP(first_name,staff_data,FSOS+G$81,FALSE)=0,"",VLOOKUP(first_name,staff_data,FSOS+G$81,FALSE)),IF(VLOOKUP(first_name,staff_data,FSES+G$81,FALSE)=0,"",VLOOKUP(first_name,staff_data,FSES+G$81,FALSE))),IF(VLOOKUP(first_name&G$84&$F85,ReqOff,4,FALSE)=0,"",VLOOKUP(first_name&G$84&$F85,ReqOff,4,FALSE)))))

Another Question....do named formulas count as a nesting level?

Hi,

Six.
No.

The nesting level max in 2003 is 7 and in 2007 its 64. But you haven't
reached the 7 limit in this formula, So the problem is somewhere else, if it
is the formula. Can't tell what the named formulas are and whether they are
in a range or define in the define name box.

To determine the number of levels - select the formula and click the formula
bar, count the number of different color the parentheses have.
