How many connections?

Hi all.

I use VB6 to connect to an Access database.

If there are more than one user connected to the database, I need to display
a message.
How do I do that ?

Unless the connections are read-only, you can check the LDB file that's
associated with the MDB file.

While it only mentions Access 97, http://support.microsoft.com/?id=186304
applies to all versions.

If you're using Jet 4.0 (Access 2000 or newer), you can also use the
techniques outlined in
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnimo01/html/o2k0135.asp

Wrong. There is no such query governer in MDBs. There is a five process throttler
mechanism in MSDE though.
