How many addresses can you send an email to

Can someone tell me if i send an email by BCC how many email addresses can i
send it to, someone once told me it was around 40, is this true?

Outlook doesn't have such a limit. The limit is set by your ISP or network
admin. Contact them/him/her to ask what you limit is.
