how long should I wait for an answer?

A) how long should I wait here for an answer, and B) if no one responds here by that time, where is the next place I can go for free help? I am pretty desperate to solve this problem since I can't work until I solve it, and no work means big trouble! thanks! heidi

Answers are usually responded within 24 hours. A lot depends on whether or
not anyone has experienced your problem. Looking back at your original
post, this does NOT sound like a Word problem, but a computer problem. How
old is the computer? have you updated your video driver lately? More than
likely it is your video driver. It could be a slow computer, lack of hard
drive, or memory. What happens is that the CPU has to process that
information and put it up on the screen. usually video card memory is used
unless you have shared memory. If the memory is low, this takes time, or
could cause lockups.

Please provide additional information after you try to go on-line and get a
newer video driver. I'm sure someone will pop in. Please keep in mind that
we are not Microsoft employees, just working stiffs like you who like to
help out when time is available. Thanks for your patience!

Check the display colour density and ensure that it is set to a high colour
option.
