how do you show deleted text (print slashed text, etc.)?

i have a need to show orignal and modified text. for deletion of text they
would like slashes through text can i do this or something like it?

In Tools > Options > Track Changes, one of the options for deleted
text is Strikethrough, which puts a horizontal line through the text.
You can also choose a color for the deleted text.

If you have Word 2002, the options for formatting deleted text are
inexplicably missing from the dialog. You can use VBA to set your
preference; see
