How do you move mail and addresses from OE to Mail (successfully)

I am trying to move 0.5GB pf mail and addresses from OE (XP Pro) to Vista
(64 bit Ultimate). The Mail import system doesnt work. I tried a commercial
product, that didnt work either! Any solutions?
 
As I indicated before, you can extract the messages from the OE folders and
then drag them into WinMail folders.

The address book is just a wab file that you can import from.
