How do you move a certificate authority to a another domain controller on the
same domain? I would like to retire the first domain controller that was
installed on my domain. I have moved all of the server roles and dns services
but the original machine is a certificate authority. My search of the
Microsoft KB has not been fruitful. Are there any articles on how to do this
or can someone tell me how to do it?

OK I had to do this once before (MS doc numbers 313272, 298138 & 185195).
Also I remember that the New machine HAD to have the same name as the Old
machine.
Good luck.

Thanks for your help. I cannot find the first two articles that you mention
(313272 and 298138). I think that they have been removed from Microsoft's
knowledge base. If there is another way to access those articles (other than
searching the knowledge base) let me know. Again, thanks.

Ok I scanned the copies I have and can email to you if give me an address.
As MS's server says they're too big to put here.
Just remember to fugde your address so the SpamBots can not read it. Such as
removing the kNOT from mine.
