Solution No. 1: Install the Office 2007 Beta 2, there's a "Glow" effect in
its WordArt options.
Other solution: If you have to use an older version of PowerPoint, you
could try to fake the effect with copies of your text, which are filled with
semi-transparent gradients. But there's no built-in, ready-to-use solution.
Creative solution: Create text with halo effect in your preferred image
editing program.
