How do you delete the country/region code from the phone (+1xxx-x.

Outlook will not let me call out. This is due to the +1 in front of the 13
digit phone number. I cannnot find anywhere that explains how to remove
it. There is plenty of information on adding the country region code, but
none to remove the existing one.

To remove it from existing Contacts you would need to export to another
program, do a search and replace there, then reimport, as outlined here

To prevent adding it to new Contacts, just configure Outlook's dialing
options correctly.
The country code does not prevent correct dialing, however, if your dialing
rules are correct.
