How do you delete a custom shortcut menu

I've created a number of shortcut menus for some of my forms. Now I
want to delete them. When I go into customize toolbar mode, bring up
shortcut menus and access my shortcut menu from the "Custom" menu pad,
there's no "Delete" command. Looks like you can do anything BUT
delete. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

You have to jump through a few extra hurdles to delete a custom shortcut menu.

1. Make a backup of your database first (don't skip this step)

2. Go to View | Customize

3. On the Toolbars tab make sure Database is highlighted and then press the
Properties button to bring up another screen.

4. In the "Selected Toolbar" combo box, find your custom shortcut menu and
select it from this second screen.

5. In the "Type" combo box change it from Popup to either Menu Bar or
toolbar (doesn't matter). Now it will disappear off the shortcut menus.

6. Hit the first Close button to go back to the main Customize screen.
You should now see your custom shortcut menu listed on the Toolbars
tab. Select it so it is highlighted and then press the Delete button. You
will get one warning message. Press OK and it is now gone.

7. Make sure none of your forms reference that menu.

Holy Crap!
I want to see the guy who developed the Toolbar management portion of
Microsoft Access. I think he was coding on a planet away from the rest
of the development team...

thanks, Jeff. Worked like a champ!
