How do you create a basic table of content?

I ran the tutorial but I am doing something wrong. Can anyone help me out
there?
 
Insert > Reference > Tables and Indexes

(You have to have included some Heading styles in your document. If
you want things in the ToC that aren't called "Heading," you've left
"basic" behind.)
