How do you clear your web history?

Hi-

I can't seem to clear my web history on my new computer. I've been using it
for about a month, and the scroll bar at the top of the screen that keeps
track of everywhere I've been is getting a little crowded. How can I clear
that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go to run, type:regedit In regedit expand:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
currentcontrolset\control\sessionmanager\open memory management.Locate,
clear pagefile at shutdown or abreviated text,L.click on it,go to
edit,modify,set
to 1 from 0 Then close out regedit. It takes a little longer for computer to
shut down, restart, but clears all youre IE tracks at the same time.

Internet Options > Clear History.

Internet Options can be found in the Control Panel.

If you enable "clear pagefile at shutdown" as andy said your system will
triple the time it takes to reboot. Try this instead,

Clearing the pagefile does not remove web history, it clears anything left
in virtual memory for the paranoid among us.

Control Panel/Internet Options/General tab, under History, click "clear
history". If the store is large, consider reducing the number of days
stored. Also, click on "settings" under Temporary Internet Files. If you are
using a large amount of space and are on broadband, reduce it to 20MB or
so - using a huge amount of space is unnecessary, this is an old default
setting from when fast access was not commonly available.

If you want to clear the typed URL's from the address bar, simply use the
"clear documents" button in the Taskbar and Start Menu properties. This
does, however, have the unfortunate side effect of clearing a number of MRU
(Most Recently Used) entries as well.

Alternately, to selectively delete unwanted addresses, click start/run and
type regedit, then click ok. Expand the plus (+) signs to reach this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Click on the "TypeURLs" key (looks like a folder), then look at the strings
in the right pane. Delete the ones that correspond to the entries you wish
to remove.
