How do you change a "remembered" password to ODBC linked files?

My company just switched to XP. The new system "remembers" my password to
access my ODBC linked tables on our mainframe. I have changed my password to
those tables, but XP doesn't "remember" the new password and just gives me an
"ODBC connection error". I have found no way to get XP to "remember" the new
password.

Hi.

Information about external tables, such as number of fields, field names,
data types, and connection information, including the password, are stored
at the time that the table is linked in the Access database. If you make
any changes to the external table, such as adding a field or changing the
password, the Access database is not updated to reflect this.

The only way to get the latest information about a changed external table is
to drop the link, then recreate the link again, thereby saving the latest
information about that external table, which Access will use to connect to
the external table.
