I cannot get my footnotes to change to a default right-to-left orientation
when I am working in a Hebrew file. I also can't seem to control the size of
the superscript number of each footnote. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi,

To achieve the right-to-left orientation of the text in your footnotes, you
need to change the paragraph formatting of the Footnote Text style to
Right-to-Left with Right or Full justification.

You can control the size of the reference number by setting the font
formatting in the Footnote Reference style. By default, the Footnote
Reference style uses the character formatting of the Default paragraph style,
so you should first check that your default paragraph style uses a font size
of about 10-12.

If your Normal template has a Normal style with left-to-right paragraphs, I
suggest that you create another template with right-to-left styles for
Hebrew. That way, you won't need to make these changes in every Hebrew
document that you create.

Write back with the version of Word that you use if you need any help in
performing these tasks.
