how do you center a letter on the page?

i'm trying to create a letter that is centered on page vertically. does
anyone know how to do that?
 
In Word 2007, click on Page Layout, click on the little arrow at
the bottom right corner of the Page Setup group, and click on
Layout tab | Vertical alignment: Center | OK.

In Word 2003 or earlier, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab
| Vertical alignment: Center | OK.
