Append said:
How do I append a file when opening it in Word?
In the context of Word, your question makes no sense.
What are you appending to what? One document to another? If so, open the
first document in Word; press Ctrl+End to move the cursor to the end of the
document; and click Insert > File and choose the second document.
To be safe, use File > Save As to put the combined document on disk with a
different name or in a different folder, leaving the two originals
unchanged, until you're sure you've done the job correctly. If you simply
hit Save, the combined document will overwrite the original first document,
and that can be difficult to retrieve if you don't notice the mistake right
away.
