I have posted and re-confirmed two severe bugs in Outlook 2003. (See posts
to this NG by 'FW' on 11/17/03 and 11/13/03.)
I've had useful attempts at help/resolution from two MVP's, but
unfortunately the problems are bugs, and not user problems.
Just to recap, the two bugs are:
1. Clicking URL links from within Outlook always opens multiple new IE
windows, even if set in IE to reuse the same window. (This IE setting is
documented as existing for 'Internet aware' programs, such as Outlook, so
the bug here is a lack of integration.)
2. Outlook 'Message' view cannot be re-configured to NOT 'Show in Groups',
or to NOT display grid lines, etc etc. If the general 'Message' view is
modified, the changes get applied only to the 'Current View', and do not get
applied to all other folders. (This is the case even after starting Outlook
with the /cleanviews switch and then re-configuring the view.)
How do I report these horrible bugs to Microsoft? (Please don't tell me that
I have to first pay for a support incident, since I only want to help MS fix
their own bugs!!)
Thanks,
